Queens of the Stone Age is a punk rock/metal band that wrote The Mosquito Song. The Mosquito Song is a hidden track on their album Songs for the Deaf. "Songs for the Deaf is loosely considered a concept album, taking the listener on a drive from Los Angeles to Joshua Tree while tuning into radio stations from towns along the way, such as Banning on the song "God Is in the Radio", and Chino Hills, California."(Unknown, SnipView, 2011)
The band has not commented on the real meaning behind the Mosquito Song. However there are several theories on the matter. These theories range from sex to cannibalism and from religion to the circle of life.
